Morning, Ok, apologies if this is a stupid question.

I have a site where a user can register to a particular club (football, tennis, rugby..).

The clubs have been pre-defined in the Member Groups section.

I’ve then setup the relevent channels (football, tennis, rugby…).

When the user logs in they can then click on a ‘products’ tab on the site.

What I’d like to know, is how do I limit that user to only view whats in their channel ie: Im a member of the football club therefore can only view the football channel.

Is this possible without different templates. Essentially, can I assign a member group to 1 particular channel.

    Many thanks

    Clive

The approach I’d explore is using conditionals in the products template to look at the member group of the logged in user and display the appropriate content.

You can map member groups to channels in the member group setup, but it’s more for the purposes of posting than viewing.

Hi Boyink, ok thats great, is it possible to extract the group-name (I know you can get the id), as if I can then I can just make sure my channels have the same name.

    Thanks again
