I’m trying to figure out how to give certain selected members their own blog in EE. They need to be able to add new posts, edit or delete existing ones, and approve comments for their own blog only. How is this done?

First, check with .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). There is a clause in the licensing agreement that stipulates you can’t use EE to create a hosted blogging service.

We’re not running a hosted blogging service. These would be our own authors for our print/online magazine and they’d be blogging in their capacity as our authors, not as individuals.

In that case everything is handled through member group permissions - where you map a member group to a combination of channels, specify which entries they can see/edit/delete, and if they can moderate comments.
You might even be able to just use one channel, and build templates that pull entries based on a selected author.
