URL segment/templating issue

    If you visit http://hotkeyit.com/videos/ and click any of the videos (which is /videos/single/video_url), everything works fine. However, if you go to /videos/single/somethingthatdoesntexist it loads every single video. I can’t find a reason for why it’s doing this at all. What needs to be changed to stop this from occurring? Making URLs strict obviously has no affect.

    add limit 1 and if_no_results to your template.

    Handling this is part of the 404 management for EE.

    Strict URL’s really only handles the first URL segment.  Past that you need to add some code to your templates.

    http://joviawebstudio.com/blog/guide_to_404_pages_with_expressionengine/ gives a good walkthrough handling all the different 404 cases.
