Hi

Is it possible to show the channel description in a new entry dialog?

I want to do this to give instructions regarding the channel.

I believe I`ve managed to do it before, but I don`t remember how, and I can`t find any documentation on it.

I meant if it is possible to show the channel description when you are posting or editing an entry in the CP. As instructions on how to use the channel. I want to do this because I use ONE Custom field group on SEVERAL channels, but I want different instructions.

Any suggestions?

Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

You can set Field Instructions for each channel field. Instructions for channels is not something I have seen as an Add-On and it’s not something that is available out of the box.

Another idea is to use Dev Docs which would allow you to document the use of each channel. The talented Dan Decker wrote up a post on using Dev Docs here.
