i have a (pretty simple) MSM set up, sub-dirs, e.g. domainissite1.com, domainissite1.com/site2/, etc.
SO! i copied a couple basic channels over (not data, but channel + fields), and i want to re-use some images in the (only) uploads directory i have set up. i actually uploaded a file (successfully) through the CP while working on site2, but it won’t save it in the channel entry, saying: You do not have access to the directory specified for this field. !? odd, because i do. the act of uploading it worked, but then it won’t save.
i’m sure i’m doing something idiotic, i haven’t worked with MSM much, so any trouble-shooting advice i appreciate! THANK YOU!!
******FIXED** the ‘uploads’ directory wasn’t selected for the file custom fields (that were copied over). i selected them, and i was fine. this was after i applied a bug fix related to files in MSM haha, so that might have helped too ****** 😊
