Hi Guys
We’re having to super-optimise a site for an important client, but the thing that has let us down is the “Time to First Byte” (2.5 seconds). Is this something do do with the server or is it something ExpressionEngine is causing? Are there add-ons or modules that can assist with this?

Hello JamieFirstAd,
Time to first byte is going to be best corrected by addressing the web server. Before any application comes on the scene, the server needs to be checked out.
If it’s taking 2.5 seconds then you should see something in the system logs. Please start there.
Aside from that advice, there is not much I can offer. You may want to work with your server team or your web hosting company.
