    Howdy.
    I have a project I am quoting.
We will be importing a XML feed using http://www.solspace.com/software/detail/importer/

Once in we would like a third party to help setup a jquery search using http://www.solspace.com/software/detail/super_search/

A development area will be setup for the applicant with all properties already in the DB.

    The Brief:
    - Develop a Basic and Advanced search, searching Sale & Rental Properties
    - On Search Results page, develop a panel to filter searches dynamically using jquery.
    - See the following for an example - http://www.century21.com.au/real-estate/residential/buy/sa/5000/adelaide/

    Thank you.
    =)

Still interested in a third party quote? Feel free to drop me a message through my forum profile. I’ve pulled off similar searches before, albeit not for property.

    Hey Klauss,

There is a great add-on from Rob Sanchez called JSON at http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/json. You can even restrict which fields get dumped in the JSON data (which can be specified in the server-side AJAX template).

An alternative approach involves creating a template which builds the actual HTML that is to be placed in the content area.

Both options can work well depending on your exact demands. jQuery can simplify the AJAX call, but you will be writing custom JavaScript code either way and, of course, it is a good idea to create a fallback behavior in case JavaScript is disabled.
