    Hi All,

I’m looking to see if there is a way to customize the e-mail that is being sent to user’s for the self-activation.  I would like to make it so that it send’s as HTML not just plain text.  I know (from trying) that if you put HTML in the Email Notification Template it just sends the HTML as plain text, so without the HTML header for the emailers.  I have the Solspace User module installed, and I’m willing to install other if necessary.

    Thanks all for your help,
    Lucas

    Hi Lucas,

    Thanks for posting your question!

There are 2 places to check:
    1) Admin->Email Configuration - Make sure your default format is set to HTML

    2) Design->Message Pages->Email Notifications: Member Account Activation Instructions

If your default message format is set to HTML, you should have no trouble using it in the Email Notification templates.

Let me know if you have other questions!

    Cheers,

    Hey Dan,

I have check all of the placed you suggested and everything seems to be in order. I seem to be having a bit of trouble attaching my code to this reply, so I am going to PM the code to you.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Thank you so much for you assistance.

Okay, so PMing you the file didn’t work either.  Let me know if there is another way I can get you the code, if you need to see it that is.  It’s just pretty standard e-mail HTML.

    Thanks,
    Lucas

    Hi Lucas,

Indeed, we keep our PMs off. You would be surprised the sensitive info people will send!

You can post the code here, if you would like. Unless you have a need to keep it private.

I’ll open up my PMs to receive your message.

    Cheers!

    Hey Dan,

I did actually try to post it here, but it wouldn’t let me.  I tried putting it in the code tags, but it was too long, and when I tried to attached it I wasn’t able to for some reason.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Lucas

    Hi Lucas,

As Robin mentioned in her reply, the system messages will alway be sent in plain-text.

The format setting only applies to mail sent via the Communicate facility in the Control Panel.
