I just upgraded EE from a previous version of EE2 to 2.4.0
Files and images on the site are broken and I make sure all the paths are correct. I realize I have to sync my file upload directories and I ensure all directory folders and enclosed items are set to 777.
I go to the directory that I need to synchronize and there are quite a few files (over a 1,000). I click on the submit button and a progress bar appears, but does nothing and gives me no feedback of anything being completed (see screenshot).
I then decide to try synchronizing a folder that only has 4 image files and get the same kind of non-feedback. I wait a few minutes and when I refresh the website page that displays those images, those images do eventually show up, which tells me that those 4 files were indeed synchronized.
But the other folders have many files and without the feedback from the progress bar, I am unable to tell if my directories are being synchronized. I keep refreshing the website page that would need those files but they still show as broken, leading me to believe they are not being synchronized.
The files that are not being synchronized also cause them to not appear in the EE content edit entry fields (see attached screenshot).
Can anybody offer me any suggestions that will fix this. I read somewhere that somebody replaced a javascript folder that fixed this issue but they did not mention the path to the javascript file.
If anybody has run into this synchronize issue before, please help me!
