Is there a way that I can set permissions for a particular member, or member group, to only be able to edit entries in one category using Safecracker?

I need 3 levels of members.
    1. Local member - that can only edit their own entries. (Edit entries authored by others - set to No)
    2. Global member - can edit all entries. (Edit entries authored by others - set to Yes)
    3. District member - can only edit entries of other members in their District (determined by category) Is there a way to set this type of member?

There will only be 7 Districts, so I don’t mind making each it’s own Member Group.
    Thanks
    Susan

    Hi Susan,

I imagine you would need a District member group that can edit all entries, *but* you would check in the SafeCracker template based on the user id and match that to the proper category.

So, if the member is the District editor for district 2, then the SafeCracker template would pull only entries for the category for district 2.

    Make sense?

Let me know if you have any questions about this idea!

    Cheers,

Thanks Dan. I understand the concept, and will try out the implementation this week. I may ask for further help if my attempt is less than successful.
