Whenever I forget to fill in a required field, the entry form refreshes upon submission and all my file fields are cleared of their values.

I’m using the CP entry form in Chrome 18. My EE version is 2.4.0. I have Solspace Tag 4.1.0 installed, and all tags are wiped out in the same way file values are.

I’m not sure if this is a browser-specific issue or if it’s even an issue at all, but it does cause me some (minor) headaches.

I’m sorry for the unexpected behavior you are seeing here.

However, it is the intended result, at least with the File field. That is the standard behavior of a file field in any html form.

There may be a way to work around that, so please submit it as a Feature Request.

With regards to Tag’s behavior, you will need to contact Solspace with your questions about that.
