The $final_template passed to the template_post_parse hook contains unparsed global variable tags.

Nobody has responded to my bug report. Is there someone who knows why global variables are not being parsed before this hook?

Disappointed at the lack of response to this.

Following my comments above it would appear that the issue is not restricted to global variables but also {path} tags.

Looking through the source code I can confirm that the global variables are parsed after. This looks intentional but it would be good to have this clarified.

    Hello madebycloud,

Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

You are correct the global variables are parsed last in the Parse Order.

Which bug report are you referring to?

Is there anything else I can help with?

    Cheers,

And just to clarify- the hook is working as intended.  But I can see the value of what you were wanting as well.  I’ve added a longer reply in the bug report.  But basically, this is more of a feature request for a new hook, as moving the existing hook would interfere with how it currently works.  And I’ve made not of the FR.

If anything is still unclear?  Just let us know.
