Trying to update from 1.7 to 1.7.2.
I call /system/update.php and get a white screen with “No input file specified.”.

I’m sorry you are running into this trouble with the 1.7.2 update!
Are you sure the /system/updates folder is in place on your server? What version of PHP are you running on your server?
I found this thread where the user was running PHP 4 as a CGI and encountered this error.
If you can provide as much information as possible about your server environment, that will help us troubleshoot this more quickly.

The server is running PHP Version 5.2.17 and the updates folder is inside the system directory.

Problem solved. System folder wasn’t were I expected it to be.
