Hi, I’m wondering if any more information is available from the EE team on this image cropping bug . I’m experiencing this on EngineHosting with EE v2.4.0 - 20120123, and it happens every time I upload an image that’s a different shape from the required output.

This bug has been in the tracker for four months, and it means image handling is broken for any setup that requires multiple sizes of thumbnails from a single image upload. The patch recommended in the comments of the bug tracker page fails to have any effect on my installation.

    Thanks very much.

This question may be related to a resolved thread.

Anything new with this yet? I’m having similar issues with crop. Crop constrains by image height and when width is shorter than target size, it just fills space with black (background).
