    Hi,

    Expression Engine 2.2.2
    I’m encountering a strange problem.
    For a client I place article’s.
I have different fields for text and images and pdf’s. 2 of them I put the text in. An introfield and a textfield. Both of them have as type NSM TinyMCE (1.1.0).
I copy text and place in introtext, I see it for a brief moment and then it is gone.
I copy the rest and place in textfield and it stays there. When I submit both text are displayed.
When I edit the entry I see for a brief moment the text and then it is gone, in html-format the text is displayed.
Why is this field acting so strangely

    greetings

This sounds to me like you pasted HTML code and that some of it is badly formatted. Can you go through it to verify?

    Hi Chris,
    thank you for your replay,

I had changed the introfield back to text area, so it worked.

Now I changed the introfield again to NSM TinyMCE for testing. I made a new entry;  even my cursor won’t go in that area (introfield). If I look in HTML there is nothing in it.

The last time I also tried to type the text in the introtext and that didn’t work but I could place my cursor in the area.

    greeting,

    Franka

    Hi, Franka,

I would recommend getting in contact with NSM since the issue seems to be specific to that custom field.  The add-on author should be able to assist.

I’m having the same issue.  Did you figure it out?

For others with the same issue, perhaps this will help:

I did read on a SilverStripe support forum that Firefox has issues with TinyMCE and the javascript directory.
    http://www.silverstripe.org/general-questions/show/16445

Not a definitive conclusion to the issue but does illustrate that there is a Firefox / TinyMCE issue in certain circumstances.

Is there an error in your Firebug / Webkit Javascript console log that relates to this issue?

Are there any 404 or delayed resources in the Network panel that relate to TinyMCE?

    Best regards,
