    Hey Guys,

I am running ee 2.2.2. This specific install is scheduled to upgrade to 2.4 next week (monday march 19th), but I was curious if there was a fix for this I could implement before then. We’ve got progress we need to make on the site before then.

I just created a new user in the system with control panel privilages, I went to log in as that member so I could customize a few setting for them and when I went to log out i received this error:

    Error Number: 145
Table ‘./db_name/exp_online_users’ is marked as crashed and should be repaired
    DELETE FROM `exp_online_users` WHERE `ip_address` = ‘—Removed IP—’ AND `member_id` = 2
    Filename: controllers/cp/login.php
    Line Number: 471

I was able to succesfully log out using a front end link i created, but every time I try to log out of the admin I get this error.

FYI - took out the IP and my db name in the error.

    Thanks!
    - Matthew Spiel

    Hi Matthew,

Before following the instructions below please make sure you have a backup of your database in case anything goes wrong.

You can repair this by doing the following:

    1) If you have phpMyAdmin installed pull it up and login to it.
    2) Select the table name that is causing the error. In this case click “exp_online_users”.
    3) Once you select the table, at the top click on the “Operations” tab.
    4) Once the operations tab screen loads look for an option called “Repair table”. Click this and that should do it for you.

Again please make sure to backup your database before you do any of this. I hope that helps.

    Thank you,

    Mike

    Hey Matthew,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Mike has a great suggestion. You can also do this through the ExpressionEngine Control Panel.

Tools ‣ Data ‣ SQL Manager ‣ Manage Database Tables

Select the table and then the repair option and hit submit.

I would also like to suggest updating to the latest version if you can.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers,
