Is there really no way to stuff a WYSIWYG in the category description field? I’ve been looking through devot:ee for an addon, but I can’t seem to find anything that suits.
I have a client that wants to use bullets in a Category description and making them add <li> tags to their text seems really asinine.
Are there any options for this, or will 2.5’s new Rich-Text editor be available for category description or custom fields?

No, there is no current way. AFAIK the proper hooks don’t exist to do so. Haven’t heard of 2.5 will put a RTE in that spot.

Mike is right, there is no current way to get a WYSIWYG editor working in the Category Field Description field. Sorry for the bad news.
