    Hello,

I logged into my website to make a few changes today and noticed my admin area javascript menus no longer work. I am currently using v2.0.2pb01. It has been about a year since I have logged into the account and have made no changes during that time, so I have no idea what has happened.

I am going to attempt to upgrade to v2.4.0 but have a question. How do I clear the cache in tools>data>clear cache when I can no longer reach that part of the admin area?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Charles,

Wow, yeah 2.0.2pb01 - that *definitely* needs to be updated 😉

How do I clear the cache in tools>data>clear cache when I can no longer reach that part of the admin area?

You can clear most of the caches by emptying the contents of /system/expressionengine/cache

You can also paste this bit into the URL directly after the session ID and *over* any thing that comes after the session ID:

    &D=cp&C=tools_data&M=clear_caching

Please, make sure you have a backup of your site files and database before moving ahead.

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan,

Thank you so much for your reply.

I got the upgrade completed with little trouble (after I figured out the category image thing), and it all went pretty smoothly. That also fixed my javascript menu issue.

Thanks a bunch for the help, I appreciate your time!
