At our company we are trying to categorise the structure of the database, ie. what kind of users can affect which table.

We are trying to discover which tables are purely structural and which tables contain user content so we can improve our updating efficiëncy.

It would be nice if someone could take a look at the attached files, and give us feedback.

One alternate approach to the efficiency you seek is to use solspace template morsels / &/ or /solspace static caching.  The problem with targeting the db directly is that the db has changed dramatically from EE 1x to EE 2x - and will continue to change with versioning.

    Good Luck

Have you created member groups and mapped those to channels?  I guess I can’t see why you’d look to map users to the database level.

I meant updating efficiëncy as in pushing our own updates to staging or live, but to be able to do this efficiëntly we need to know which tables contain purely structural data, which tables contain purely content, and which tables are a combination of both.
