It’s been a while since we redesigned our site… we had a traditional black approach but decided it was too “2010” so we changed it up a bit.
Our goal was definitely to make it fast, VERY fast. We used EE 2.4 and didn’t put a lot of “pizzaz” into the site - just some basic things that we needed to display for our projects and things like that.
Our site came out to be minimalist at the very least… we did have a jquery project-filter type script that we implemented for the projects page.
Everything on the home page is static (the banner for the featured site does rotate but only on page refresh) - again we were aiming at page speed & yslow performance being at the core.. we wanted high #‘s and we got them (97% page speed and about 90% yslow) .... (with live chat removed we got it up to 99%/95%)
