Member Group can't change entry status

    Hello,
    Hopefully an easy one…

    I have a member group ‘Editors’. When they post an entry it defaults to closed. If we try to change to ‘open’ the status menu only provides ‘closed’ as an option.

    Logging in as admin I get both open and closed in the status menu.

    I’ve checked permissions and nothing seems to be amiss?

    Any ideas?

    Try checking that a specific status group is assigned to the channel:

    Control Panel -> Admin -> Channels -> (select “edit group assignments” for the channel in question)

    Make sure the dropdown for Status Groups has the “Statuses” group selected (if that’s the name of your default status group)

    I had the same issue about a year ago… and I seem to recall this being the cause.
