I was wondering if there is an auto response feature someone who submitted a form. Also, does freeform have an option to allow users to attach images to their form submission?

You’d be better off posting in the addons developer support forums at http://www.solspace.com - but yes you can send an email to the submitter via Freeform. It also allows user to upload files as attachments as well 😊
