    Hey guys,

I’ve set up a File Management System for a client using P&T’s Assets, Cartthrob and MX_Zip.
I running EE v2.3.1 - Build: date 20111017 on a Linux VPS Server.

I have no problems uploading large files but when choosing to download one of the 30mb - 100mb files I get the following error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 34167294 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/website.co.nz/httpdocs/generation/system/codeigniter/system/libraries/Zip.php on line 201

Should I be looking at the same php memory changes that you suggest in other threads that relate to upload errors?

    Any advice would be great.

    Cheers

    Hi xenowebdev,

An out of memory error is definitely related to server configuration. I am unaware of the other threads to which you are referring but yes I would start with what was mentioned there and also talk to your host about upping your memory limits.

    Thanks Sean.
Problem was resolved by upping the allocated php memory limit to 512mb - zipping files is memory hungry! 😊

    Cheers
