    Please excuse my newbieness. I did search various places for help with this, but it seems this is so basic that no one is asking!

    I simply want to obfuscate email addresses when they appear randomly around the site. The plugin MD Spam Me Not works fine on my site with content in a channel on a different template (that someone else coded), but I’d like to call it from within the ‘Body content’ field of the CP’s ‘Edit Entry: Static Page’.

    Simply entering a tagged plugin request there

    {exp:md_spam_me_not email="[email protected]" text="email"}

    renders literally on the web page. So I also added the tag to the template (as suggested in the sparse documentation of the plugin), but that does nothing. I’m clueless as to whether I need a snippet, embedded template or what, and I don’t want to overcomplicate this.

    Thanks for any advice!

    please check your plugin if correct process is being done and returns correct value into constructor.

    The documentation explaining static pages should give the answer here.

    As the page is static there is absolutely no rendering of ExpressionEngine tags. This includes plugins I’m afraid.

    You will need to choose Webpage as your page type in order for your plugin to work.

    Hope that helps a bit.

    Best wishes,

    Mark
