    Hi,

    I have just installed version 2.4.0 on a GoDaddy Ultimate plan. I’ve copied the install files several times now in case the install issue is a corrupt file. Modified the file permissions as instructed in the users guide. Yet I get the following error:

    Your config file does not appear to be formatted correctly.

    any ideas what I can do about this ?

    Fairly urgent I need to get this site going, I’ve installed version 2.0 a few months ago without any issues on another isp.

    Hello IT Buff,

    I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem. I know this can be very frustrating.

    Did the install complete successfully?

    Did you remove the install folder?

    I believe GoDaddy may need a slight configuration change.

    Can you try this for me?

    In your config.php file please change the following.

    $config['uri_protocol']    = "AUTO";

    to

    $config['uri_protocol']    = "QUERY_STRING";

    Let me know how things go.

    Cheers!

    Is this config.php file supposed to be empty straight out of the zip pre-install?
    Because it currently is when I DL from “My Downloads” and I tried downloading it twice.

    Cheers,
    Dan

    Hey iDVB,

    Yes, that is correct. The file is blank to start with.

    Cheers,
