    Hello,

I’m trying to figure how to make a list of members who have posted to a certain channel and then link their names to a search results page that display just their posts. Here is what I want to achieve in a bit more detail:

I have a channel called ‘news’ I have 3 categories in that channel (‘local’, ‘national’ and ‘global’). I have a landing page set up for each category which lists all the entries for that particular category. What I would like to do is list all the members who have posted entries to that particular category in a column on the right. I would then like their name to be a link to search results page that will list any posts that member has made to that category. Does that make sense? I’m sure it is possible but for some reason I can’t think where to start.

Please let me know if you need any more info.

    Thanks.

http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/commenters  If you ask Laisvunas he will frequently simply add requested additional functionality to his addons.

Hey thanks Enviromed, I’ll check that out. I take it this isn’t something that can be done natively in EE then?

It is not so much what can be done using php, url juggling segments etc.  It’s more about having something that is optimized by a pro and then you add the newest add-on versions when there are significant ee code changes.

Laisvunas has great addons and support, especially when EE has changed versions to codeigniter etc.  It would be best for all of us if he can modify commenters or develop an additional plugin that can be combined.  Good luck!

    Hello Burn Card,

Have you had a chance to check out the add-on that Enviromed suggested?

Let us know how it works out.

    Cheers,

    Hey Shane,

Yeh I had a quick look but it is more based on comments rather than posts although I’m sure it can be adapted in some way. Think I may have thought of a way around my problem for now anyway. Will let you know if I do end up using http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/commenters .

    Thanks,
