    Hi

I’d like to have the European time format in my ee CP.

I changed the time format in the localization settings and also in the Member Settings. But the channel entry dates are still displayed in US format? what can I do?

    Hi Kaspar,

I’m sorry that you are experiencing this problem. What version of ExpressionEngine are you using? You have changed both the site settings and your personal user settings and the date does not change? I just checked on both a 2.3.1 and a 2.4.0 site and both of them changed for me. Are you using any add-ons that might affect dates or channel entries?

    I have 2.3.1

I have some ad-ons installed (NSM BetterMeta, Safe Harbor, Wygwam…) But I don’t see any correspondence to the time format.

    Hello Kaspar,

I am sorry to hear this is still an problem.

I want to understand where you are looking when you do not see the change.

Is this under Content->Publish->channel name and then clicking on the Date tab?

I will be on the lookout for your reply.

    Thank you,

    Kaspar,

Can you list out all of your add-ons? Because I cannot reproduce this, I am leaning towards this being a plugin.

Your list ended with “...” so I want to make sure I know about all of the plugins.

    Cheers,

    Okay I have:

    Modules
    - NSM Better Meta
    - Safe Harbor
    - Shorteen
    - Social Update
    - Wygwam

    Accessories
    - CP Analytics
    - NSM Addon Updater
    - NSM Morphine Theme

    Extensions
    - EE Hive - Entry Lottoree (This one already made problems with the “EE Harbor - Transcribe” Plugin which I haven’t installed right now.)

    Hi Kaspar,

I did some comparisons in 2.3.1 to see what the changes were so we can contrast those with what you expect to see.
    1) Publish Page Date Tab - European
    2) Publish Page Date Tab - US
    3) Content->Edit List - European
    4) Content->Edit List - US

The differences I note are that in the Publish Date Tab, the European setting drops AM/PM in favor of a 24 hour clock. In the Edit List, the Dates are in European format and the clock uses 24 hour format.

    What is your expectation?

    Cheers!

Oh, I think we actually talk about something different .

If you say this is how EE defines “European” time format, then everything is alright.
I taught this preference would also affect the date format so the whole thing would look like “dd-mm-jjjj hh:mm”

For me this is somewhat misleading. So it is not possible to also change the date format to “European”?

    Hi Kasper,

I just talked to one of our Devs and was told that yes that is how EE defines European time format and that it is hard coded into the file.

Is there anything else I can assist you with?

Thanks. Thanks for your help. You don’t know any plugin to change this date entry to real european format?

    Hello Kaspar,

I do not believe that there is an Add-On for this. Especially since the format is hard coded.

Is there anything else I can help you with?
