    Hi all,

Started a site on 2.3.1 with no channels/fields set up on it, just a blank install, upgraded it to 2.4.0 and created fields/channels/categories/upload directories etc. Just clicked the Content -> Edit button after creating an entry and I’ve got:

    A Database Error Occurred

    Error Number: 1146

    Table 'epwebsit_rgf.exp_comments' doesn't exist

    SELECT `entry_id`, COUNT(*) as count FROM (`exp_comments`) WHERE `entry_id` IN ('5', '4', '3', '2', '1') GROUP BY `entry_id`

    Filename: controllers/cp/content_edit.php

    Line Number: 332

I can’t get onto the edit list at all. I know this isn’t the most helpful information for debugging so please let me know what information you need and I’ll endeavour to get it.

    Thanks,

    Rob

Please note, I’m pretty sure I either didn’t check (or uninstalled) the comment module when I first installed the 2.3.1 EE, as when I check my backup from before the 2.4.0 upgrade, there is no exp_comments table in the DB.

Sorry to keep posting, I’ve found a way ‘around’ this, by temporarily enabling the comment module, I can now view the edit entries list. If I uninstall the comment module, then this bug occurs again.

I have just encountered this error on my EE 2.3.1 build.
To fix your issue i just added the table into the database, for some reason it did not exist.
There was a bit of playing around it uninstall regarding the database table, but once all errors stopped with the database table removed and the module uninstalled i could then just reinstall it again and it created the table and all errors were gone.

My issue is the comment form is not submitting.
