    I have a similar issue to this thread:

    http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/163842/

    Simple search form was working fine across http://tnwinc.com and all of a sudden started redirecting to home page. I am using EE v2.1.3 Build: 20110411. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi Olena1,

    I’m sorry that the Simple Search form has stopped working for you! Do recall making any changes, new add-ons or changes to .htaccess for instance, that might have had an impact on this? Thanks for reporting your EE version, is there any chance we can get you to update to the latest version, 2.3.1? It would also be great if we can have a look at the template that is causing the problems.

    Thanks!

    For what it’s worth, I’m seeing this behavior as well for a site, but we’re using the advanced search tag.

    Have not added any new add-ons/templates/etc.

    Here’s the code from the template:

    {exp:search:advanced_form channel="not members" result_page="search/results" search_in="everywhere" cat_style="nested" show_futre_entries="yes" show_expired="yes" results="5"}
     SEARCH OUR WEBSITE: <input type="text" name="keywords" id="keywords" />
    {/exp:search:advanced_form}

    Running build 20120123

    Just to add a bit more… we use the following in a different template, and it to is redirecting to the home page:

    {exp:search:advanced_form channel="members" result_page="search/member_results" search_in="everywhere" cat_style="nested"}
     <fieldset class="fieldset">
     Enter just about anything you can think of and we'll search our Member Database and provide you with the closest match we can find. You can search for business names, people, phone number and addresses.
     <legend>{lang:search_by_keyword}</legend>
     <input type="text" class="input" maxlength="100" size="40" name="keywords" />
     <input type='submit' value='Search' class='submit' />
     </fieldset>
     {/exp:search:advanced_form}

    Hi Jason,

    Sorry for your wait, we do our best to respond within 48hrs during the business week.

    We’ve seen this issue crop up when you have “www” in place in Admin-> General Configuration, and are removing it in .htaccess. Or vice versa. The key is to use or remove “www” consistently.

    Can you check that and get back to me?

    Cheers,
