Forced out of the control panel when trying to create a new item

    My client is being logged out when trying to use the control panel. It seems to be a problem with her personal laptop. If I log in on the same configuration in VM ware (windows 7 IE 9) I have no problems. I hope you have encountered this maybe once before. I cannot see what it could be.

    She logs in and gets on the control panel page, but as soon as she clicks on the edit > new, she sees the inout form for a second then is redirected to the log in page.

    She can however edit existing entries.

    But a soon as she tries to create a new item she is logged out.

    Any idea how this would be caused?

    There are a number of things that might be causing this. Have you tried asking your client to try and use FireFox or Opera as a test to see if the same thing happens? This will help you determine if it’s a browser or a hardware issue of some sort. What version EE are you running?

    Mike has some good questions for you. What version of EE are you using? Could you ask your client to login with a different browser or a different computer and see if the issue persists.
