When I use the cache=“yes” refresh=“60” parameter, it increases my page load terribly. the first load takes 1.5 minutes to load
    90.4163 seconds / 45 queries

Here is the page in question: http://eetest.netmagicsolutions.com/resources

It is using three channel entry loops. Without caching I get a decent 1.1s load. Isn’t caching supposed to speed up my page load?

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi dgink,

If caching is slowing down the processing of your page, it likely means that EE is having trouble writing the cache to disk. Could you check with your host to make sure the PHP process has rights to write to the cache folder of your EE installation? Also, make sure your cache folder is given 777 permissions.

Could you post your template code here as well? That’ll help me see if there’s something about your template code that’s causing the issue instead.

    Thanks!
