Are there Member Privilege prerequisites for seeing "show toolbar"

I’m working through Ch. 27 of Michael Boyink’s (hardcopy, from Amazon) “Building an EE 2 Small Business Site”.

I created a new member-group per the tutorial—that is, I created a content-manager group and tweaked some of the associated privileges, to make this group have just what is appropriate for a ‘content-manager’. (BTW, a couple of details were a little different in my installation of EE2 than as described in the book.)

Problem is that my new content-manager member doesn’t see that ‘show toolbar’ link, when editing or publishing an entry. (That is, when I log in as that member, I don’t see it there.) As a sanity / litmus test, I do see that link when I publish as my usual ‘super-admin’ self.

I eyeballed the lists of privileges that one can configure for member groups, but don’t see one (or a combo?) that jumps out at me as being key for allowing that “show toolbar” link.

    Any clues?

PS, or related question: Is this the way to ask my question, or should I be trying to contact Michael directly?

    Hi -

As indicated in the book please contact me directly with errata.  I keep an eye on the forums here but since the book is my creation and not EllisLab’s I’d rather not tax their forums with issues related to the book.

Setting up a Publish Page Layout is primarily a task for Super Admins, so the link will not appear for your Content Admin.  I’m preparing for a revision of the book already, so will add text in that spot to make it clear that in order to both tweak the publish page and configure fields you need to re-log in as the SuperAdmin user.
