We’re using EE v2.2.2 and Solspace Tag Module 4.0.1

Does anyone know whether it is possible to define an rss feed based on an individual tag (i.e. most recent entries with a specific tag)?

I’m trying to find a way of displaying EE entries outside on EE (e.g. on other sites & static html pages outside of the main EE blog structure) - and I wondered whether RSS might be the best way of doing this?

You should be able to use nearly any combination of tag structure in an RSS feed. A bog standard feed just uses a Channel entries tag so there’s no reason why you can’t use data from the Tag module as well.

Have a read up on creating XML templates at http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/modules/rss/index.html then have a play with your desired tags.

    Hi Jim,

    Rob’s answer’s a good one. Thanks Rob!

On a support note, since this is a question related to EE2, it should be posted to the EE2 support forum. I’ve moved it to the appropriate forum, but you’ll need an EE2 license on your account or a support credit in order to post a response. Is the license for EE2 that you’re using on this site owned by another account on expressionengine.com? If so, you can just have that account holder email us at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and ask us to give your account a support credit. Be sure to have them specify which license we need to issue a support credit for. That credit will allow you to post in the EE2 forums!
