Hi all - I’m going to rely on the community for this one in light of the holiday. I hope someone will be able to help.
A site that has been in content limbo for a while suddenly stopped working - at least as far as logging into the CP is concerned. The public side of the site continues to work, but if I try to log in to the control panel, I get:
This webpage is not available
The connection to partnersforcare.ca was interrupted.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall’s or antivirus software’s settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don’t believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to Applications > System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies and deselect any proxies that have been selected.
Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset.
The client reports having been able to log in just fine about a month ago, the last time they were doing some content entry. I haven’t been into the control panel for the site in some time, so no changes have been made to the code. So I’m thinking perhaps the client did something they shouldn’t have, for example, or some add-on is using a now outdated API call or something. I’m at a loss to explain it. I even went into the config file and disabled extensions - but that didn’t change anything. Advice would be appreciated. Anyway to disable other things via FTP or myPHPAdmin that may be causing a problem?
Thanks all!
