I have a channel that populates a image slider on the homepage of a website. I was wanting to know if there is an easy way to allow the user to select the entry that item in the slider is related to. I have found a plugin NSM Entry Select which allows me to have a dropdown box that lists all the entries but it just gives me the entry id. How do I create a link from just the entry id when the entry may need different templates to be displayed.

There are probably a number of ways to handle that but the standard relationship fieldtype or something 3rd party like Pixel and Tonics Playa should work for creating a relationship. They will give you more than an entry id to work with. Let me know if I am misunderstanding or those don’t cut it.
