This question may be related to a resolved thread.

I have the same problem hitting a blank page when I try to run the update wizard.

I am trying to update from 1.6.8 to 2.3.1 and followed the instructions faithfully.

I have contacted EngineHosting to move to a 5.3..2 PHP server cluster, but before I get them to do it, I’d like to make sure there will not be any incompatibilities. I have a very simple site with no add-ons, so I assume that the only problem might be with the old EE 1.6.8 and PHP 5.3.2. Are there any issues?

    Thanks,

    Richard

    Richard,

Can you confirm that your original issue is that you were on a PHP4 cluster?
You should have no issue on PHP5+ It’s an actual requirement that you are on php5.1.6 or newer
