    HI,

I’m building out a first EE and MSM deployment. I’ve just got the default Agile records templates in place for now, and have created a 2nd Domain using the MSM, with a new deployment of the template files in a /themes folder I’ve detailed in the second site’s General Config.

However, although everything is fine in the initial site deployment, the second site is not picking up any of the template tags it should be. Everything displays as a tag, e.g. {html_head} {global_stylesheets}, rather than the code it’s meant to resolve to.

This appears to be the only issue with the second domain.

Any idea as to what have I done wrong?

    Versions:
    EE V.2.3.1
    MM. 2.1.1

    Thanks,

    -paul

    Hi ente1888,

In your second site do you have the global variables for html_head and global_style_sheets defined. When you created your second MSM site if you did not copy them to the second site they won’t be there. Could you recreate those Global Variables on your second site and then let me know if there is anything else you need help with.

Thanks for helping look into this for me, Sean.

Following a closer look into the Global Variables, I did see that {html_head} had been renamed {html_head-2} during the duplication process. Renaming this back did the trick.

After this worked, I was able to look more closely at the fact that snippets had not duplicated during the second site config process, and that I needed to edit the snippets under the default site to be extended to ‘All Sites’.

It was also interesting to note that (Unlike Global Vars) Snippet names need to be unique, even when being used on a single site.

Thanks again, having these additional small elements clarified should help a lot in the continuing set-up and testing process.

Glad to see that everything is good now.

Is there anything else I can help with?
