Hi - I love the fact that you can indent your code within EE templates, but the indentation amount is pretty big. Is there any way to reduce this?

I’m not trying to be smart but you could just manually delete it yourself. Some text editors allow you to reformat the source also. They are provided as examples so you are free to do with it as you wish.

Does that help? Was the white space causing you a specific issue?

Well if I delete the spaces, I am deleting the indentation entirely (it’s tabbed space, not space bar space) - I wasn’t working with a text editor, I’m working within EE. The space just causes an issue because, by about 3 levels deep, your code is almost entirely outside of a normal sized window and you have to scroll to see it. Just a little harder to work with.

I’ve been wondering this as well, at the moment the tab is 8 characters, would be nicer if it were 4 characters to allow easier scanning of code.

I see what you mean, heaversm and bluedreamer. It might be a better experience to have the tab a little less space-intense. Mind posting that over in the Feature Request forum? Or I could just move this thread over there if you like. I think the devs would like to have this kind of feedback, and that’s the best way to get it in front of their eyeballs.
