Hey everyone. I’m still new to the ee world so forgive me if this is a stupid question. Most of the ee sites I see are basically a front page with excerpts with multiple links to single entries. Is it possible to design something (without any deep hacks) that would just be single entries only? Bascially cut out the front page linking to the single entries. And have working comments for each post? No need for detail, a loose description would be fabulous if anyone knows how 😊
    Thanks in advance!

Yes!  You definitely have no constraints in ee.  The newspaper style you describe is simply too common in ee sites.  If you post a basic wireframe of what you really want to do, the ee community will post back.  If you want robust commenting, solspace has comment uploads add-on that allows users to upload files and images in the ee comments. Good luck. Chris

Wow! Thanks Chris! I would love some help with that! I think I can do better than a wireframe. If you head on over to my site: http://tylerjamesphoto.com and click any entry that’s basically what I want. I tried copying and pasting my “post” code into the index but ran into a whole bunch of issues. One being the comments on the default page and the other being pagination and urls. The fb likes and tweets are a whole other headache. Thanks again for being so helpful Chris!

Start with a back-end wireframe.  I’ve attached a sample ee site infrastructure diagram previously posted in this forum.  [I can’t seem to locate the source post this AM]  This is the first step.  Very nice work on your front end.  Good luck with your business.  Chris

Thanks Chris! I’ll try and put something together and then pitch it to the community once it’s finished 😊
