Im upgrading a clients website and want to use mojomotor. What the best way to stage a site then transfer over to actual domain?>

I set up a new FTP site and tried to use IP address. But during the install mojo was looking for the DNS that he host uses.

Any ideas?

Thanks Jesse! I did read your artical and your blog. Great info! Being a new Ellis Labs fan (I started working with EE as well as Mojo). I’m in the process of doing a upgrade for a client using MM and I will folow these instructions when its time to upgrade (fingers crossed). So far I’m excited about MM for my smaller sites and Im working hard on learning both MM and EE. Hopefully Ellis labs is working hard to continue the improvement of the software 😊!

Thanks for the article, Jesse, but I wonder, if I am redirecting my website from index to a subfolder /site2/ will it still work?
