I’ve got a safecracker form on the front end of my website.

People use it to let us know about their event. If the event fits the bill, we publish it on our website.

Problem is we don’t know when someone has posted an event using the form. We have to go and check the events channel daily to see if there have been any new submissions.

Can an automatic email notification be sent when someone submits the form?

Hi, you have to set the channel prefs right from: CP Home - > Administration - > Channels ->
    Channel Preferences

So spot the Notification Preferences and set it to send notification when ever new channel entry is submitted via frontend.

    cheers

Sorry for the slow reply. Pete that’s exactly what I was looking for, many thanks.

However I’ve changed the settings and no emails are arriving - whether events are added using the Safecracker form or the standard CP publish entry method.

I’ve had problems sending to emails with the same domain as the website, so to rule this out I’ve used a different email address for notifications.

Other emails sent by the site (freeform notifications and test emails sent using the Communicate tools) send fine.

    Any ideas?

    Hi, weejimmyhat.

Are you the person doing the entries? You won’t receive notifications of items you author yourself.
