I am creating a channel for entering a sport team schedule.

Is there a date/time fieldtype I could use for the start of the game?

If so, could I use the date from that field in the channel tag, like entry_date is used?

I want to provide an easier to understand form for the user to enter the schedule. In the past, I’ve had to tell people to think of entry date as the start time and the expiration date to be the end time, which can be confusing to others.

I am sure a lot of people have had this problem but I am unaware of a possible solution.

If it makes sense to do so, you can break the your needs into separate date and time selections by creating a custom time field, perhaps using Derek Hogue’s Time Select field type.

Not possible for what I am trying to accomplish, I’ll just change the language file for entry and expiration date to something like “Begin date” and “End date”.
