I just did a server migration to Media Temple DV 4.0 and I’m getting this PHP error:

    A PHP Error was encountered

    Severity: Warning

Message: date_default_timezone_get(): It is not safe to rely on the system’s timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected ‘America/Los_Angeles’ for ‘PDT/-7.0/DST’ instead

    Filename: libraries/Core.php

    Line Number: 227

    Any ideas?

    EE 2.2.2
    build 20110801

I just tried what was recommended in this post, but I’m still getting the error.

    Hey grantmx,

Can you try the suggestion in this report?

This is an imporper server configuration, hopefully the suggestions here will help you out.

    Keep me posted.

    Thanks.
