Hi,

We have a need to edit the default email templates within expressionengine and looks like the email templates are being read from the database at the moment.

What would be the best way to update the templates and add additional logic before sending out emails?

Have you seen the following in the docs:

Editing these settings won’t give you any additional logic, just the ability to change the content.

What kind of additional logic are you talking about?

We were hoping to change email templates based on user group. Is that something that can be done with the email templates saved in the db? We did see the templates in the “Email Messages” page and noticed that they are read off the DB.
