    Hello,

I moved a live production site to another domain.

I updated paths/info in all the correct files and paths in cp.

In my base path url for global template preferences,

With a www in the path the site resolves fine with all the linked templates i.e. styles and javascripts, but I cannot save template as text.

Without the www in the base path the site does not correctly load the templates i.e. css, etc., but I can save templates as text???

    Thanks,
    Ron

    Hi Ron,

Could you paste back here the settings you’re using for Global Template Preferences? Also, what is the URL for your website? I think there may be some confusion over paths/URLs here.

this one works fine but cannot save as file:

    /home/59113/domains/www.mountaindesignworks.com/html/system/expressionengine/templates/

without the www it seems to load some templates from the previous site and some from the new one?

    /home/59113/domains/mountaindesignworks.com/html/system/expressionengine/templates/

    ...but allows templates as text…

    I checked and updated these:
    config.php
    database.php

    and global preferences are correct.

    OK, I got it.

I went ahead and switched the global template path back to:
    /home/59113/domains/mountaindesignworks.com/html/system/expressionengine/templates/

and then went and opened all the templates and saved them all, it then loaded everything with the correct paths to the new domain and I can save the templates as text.

    this is closed, thanks!
