    I’m working on an MSM site setting up a new site when I discovered I couldn’t upload files. I have double checked that permissions are set to 777 as per the docs and that the path/url settings are correct.

    EE version 2.2.2 Build 20110801

    Two previously exisiting sites with working upload directories are also not working. When I try to upload a new image via the file manager - I click “upload file” and the page refreshes, don’t even get the browser option to find local images to upload.

    /*********UPDATE WITH MORE INFO********/

    1) content > file manager and upload - page refreshes, no upload options
    2) uploading an entry with the native file field works fine
    3) uploading a file from wygwam works if the file browser is set to EE File manager but does not work if its set to CKFinder or Assets
    4) uploading to an Assets field doesn’t work at all - javascript error which will report to pixel and tonic
    5) uploading within matrix works fine (using native file field type)

    Please advise.

    I had the same issue and I did the following and now it works for me:

    go to themes/javascript/compressed/cp/files/file_manager_home.js and look for where it says

    #action_nav a:contains(”+EE.lang.upload_file+”)
    and replace with

    #action_nav a:contains(Upload File)

    Good Luck!
