Can the EE member handle a lot of users?

Hi,

I am making a website that will eventually have tens of thousands of users, will EE start showing some speed reduction, since it users MySQL? How much can EE handle without some tuning?

This very site has 130k+ members and runs on a single EE installation if that helps.

I’d say that if the site is going to be that busy then a dedicated server may be necesasry anyway. in which case you can fine tune it as you needed.

Perfect ! I will definitely upgrade to a dedicated server as soon as I think it may be necessary. What kind of tuning can be done to make it faster? I couldn’t find a thread about it, perhaps you may know of one?
