Ok, So I have 2 channel’s

One is “Audio Entries”
Second is “Authors”

So when you create a new audio entry there is a related field for the audio’s author that is populated by the Authors channel.

I need to list out the latest authors in a side bar. I could easily just list the Authors channel, but I only want to list maybe 3, and only if they have recent entries. So basically that list would be the last 3 authors that have an audio posting.

Does EE have something built in to just list unique entries? Not sure how to tackle it.

Note that these use EE 1.x syntax, but that’s an easy enough fix.

I can’t really figure out how to make it fit, I’m not using author_id for the author, I’m using a related field to set the author. Kinda stumped.
