    Hi -

I’m wondering if there’s a way to specify required fields using SAEF that differ from the required setting on the field itself?

I’m going to be using Zoo Visitor to specify custom fields to associate to member registration. Because of some limitations with the module, I’m not able to mark fields required on the backend, as I need to share one group of fields for different member types. So for Member A, I need to specify certain fields as required, while Member B specifies others.

Is there an easy way to do this with SAEF forms, or will I need to do separate PHP or JS validation here? I looked at the documentation, but it only seems like SAEF grabs the field’s required setting, instead of being able to specify it manually on the form end of it. I might be missing something .. sorry .. EE beginner here.

Nevermind… I realized that Zoo Visitor uses it’s own reg form that leverages SAEF. The Zoo Visitor registration form allows you to specify required fields.

    Thanks anyways.
