Ive now noticed, that for some reason my links in admin panel stops from working. I dont know why but if i create new link to template manager - it stops working at some point.

I have no idea when this happens but i’ve had to remove links and again add them to get my quick links into top of page for faster access.

Any idea how i could track down this problem or even better, a solution to remove this problem.

    thanks

    Hi Pete,

I’ve had this happen to me before where I’ve created a new menu item and when I’ve gone back into the site after a while the links no longer work.

In my case this was due to me using sessions on the Control Panel part of the site and so I had a long session ID being appended to the end of the links and when I logged out of the site and then back in again this session ID was no longer valid causing the links to not work.

I’m thinking this might be what’s happening here for you also. If that’s the case then can you try going to Admin > Security and Privacy > Security and Session Preferences and changing the Control Panel Session Type to Cookies only, deleting all the custom menu links and then add them in again and see if that fixes it up for you.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Pete,

No problem at all. Would you like me to keep this thread open whilst you test this or shall I close it out and if you have any more problems you can post again as you need?

    Thanks,

    Mark
